Horses take no quarter

THE AMERICAN QUARTER HORSE RACING NEWS reported the House passed the Horse Slaughter Prevention Act. Horses won't be killed for human consumption. The story said: "AQHA opposed the bill, which would if it becomes law shut down horse slaughter plants in Fort Worth and Kaufman, Texas; and DeKalb, Illinois."

OK. But what do you do with race horses that no longer run?

I know, put children in cowboy outfits for cute photos, right Basil?
